The Seasiders confirmed yesterday that Patino had joined the club on a season-long loan deal from the Gunners.
Blackpool boss labelled the 18-year-old “one of the best midfielders in his age group” and talked up the North West club’s strong relationship with Arsenal.
Patino has been quick to reach out to supporters directly via Twitter and pen a message that outlined how excited he was about the move.

Appleton has a track record of helping talented young players thrive on loan – having helped the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, Manchester City’s Morgan Rogers, and West Bromwich Albion’s Alex Palmer thrive while he was in charge at Lincoln City.
Patino will be hoping the Blackpool boss can have the same impact on his career and arrives at Bloomfield Road with a fairly big reputation among Gunners supporters despite making just two senior appearances for the club.
Quiz: Can you name which club Blackpool FC signed these 25 English players from?
This looks like a fantastic signing from a Blackpool perspective and one that shows just how highly regarded the club is as a loan destination – particularly now with Appleton at the helm.
Patino’s bright future has been talked a lot about in Arsenal circles and the move to the Championship will offer him the first real chance to show that consistently at senior level.
The 18-year-old’s message to supporters indicates he is hungry to do just that and will have them even more excited to see him in action.
They have made the most of the loan market in the past and there is no reason that this season can be any different.
