Charlton Athletic forward Lyle Taylor has revealed his top-three, favourite footballers of all time.
The 30-year-old is a favourite at The Valley, and has once again proved to be the man to get the goals for Lee Bowyer’s side. Injury has dealt him a stop-start season but in 22 Championship appearances, Taylor has scored 11 goals.
That the same ratio he boasted when he scored 22 goals in 44 League One appearances for the Addicks last year, but with his contract up in the summer, his Charlton future looks to be in the balance.
Nevertheless, Charlton fans love him, and yesterday the Montserrat man named his three favourite footballers of all time:
We can a little bit of each in Taylor’s game today, and we can see glimpses of how Taylor has probably forged his game around Thierry Henry’s.
The Charlton man’s come under the spotlight this season for seemingly wanting a move away from Charlton, but he’s once again stepped up to the plate, and if he’d stayed fit then Bowyer might not be facing a relegation battle.

Charlton are two points off safety in 22nd place of the Championship table. Despite winning three of their last eight in the league, they find themselves facing an immediate return to League One.
The teams at the foot of the Championship were all finding form before the football was postponed, and it’s thrown Charlton and many more teams into the relegation dog fight.
If and when the season resumes, Taylor will have to channel his inner Henry to try and save Charlton from relegation. They look all but set for a League One return, unless someone like Taylor can pull something special out the bag.
