Norwich City will reportedly have to pay Getafe 20% of any fee they receive for in-demand playmaker Emi Buendia due to a sell-on clause, which has caused many Canaries fans to demand a higher fee from Arsenal and the other chasing clubs. 

The 24-year-old was instrumental to Norwich's Championship title win and promotion to the Premier League in 2020/21 – scoring 15 times and adding 17 assists as he won their player of the season award.

Reports have indicated that the Carrow Road outfit will not stand in Buendia's way if an appropriate offer is made for him in the upcoming window, while both Arsenal and Aston Villa are understood to have ramped up their pursuit over the past week.

£40 million has been touted as a potential fee for the Argentine, who was called up to the national team squad recently, but it seems not all that money will go to Norwich.

PA's Nick Mashiter has revealed that Getafe, who sold Buendia to Norwich for £1.5 million in 2018, have a 20% sell-on clause meaning they will receive a significant chunk of any fee paid for the midfielder.

That's certainly a blow for the Norfolk club but it seems supporters feel they should be bumping up the price as a result.
