Arsenal are eyeing a summer move for Charlton Athletic starlet Joe Gomez, according to the Telegraph.
Gomez, 17, has become a revelation at the London club this campaign and his mature performances from defence have certainly caught the attention.
The right-back has amassed a total of 17 appearances for the Addicks this season, and he is set for a bright future in professional football.
The 17-year-old has constantly impressed in every game he’s played during his early career, and was part of the England under-17 side that won the European Championships in Malta last year.
There is no denying that Arsenal and Charlton have a good relationship, and this relationship could facilitate a move for Gomez to join Arsenal in the summer.
Guy Luzon’s Charlton Athletic side will no doubt demand a sizeable transfer fee for the talented youngster, but whether Arsenal stump up such a sum remains to be seen.
Charlton Athletic currently sit in 11th place in the Sky Bet Championship, having amassed 55 points from 41 league games this season.
