After a disappointing season in the Championship, QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is looking to strengthen his team ahead of a promotion tilt this term, with a move for Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden, according to West London Sport.

QPR appear to have already missed out on a move for Manchester City youngster Seko Fofana, who looks set to move to Serie A side Udinese instead, but that hasn't put the club off from raiding another London rival for a promising player.

The club's target, Isaac Hayden, is a versatile player, most comfortable at centre back but able to fill in at right back or central midfield if required. He's tipped for a bright future at the Emirates, having already represented England at various youth levels.

Rangers face competition for Hayden's signature from newly promoted Hull City, for whom Hayden featured 24 times last season when on loan from Arsenal. That Hull are keen to have him back is understandable, and Wenger may feel Hayden's development is best served in the Premier League - but that hasn't stopped QPR making their interest clear.

Moves for Hayden, Fofana and a rumoured bid for 20-year-old Lens forward Sehrou Guirassy all point to a change in transfer policy for the London club, who look to be moving away from signing established, experienced stars on huge wages and instead looking to bright prospects to secure the club's future.
