Arsenal are considering what the next best step may be for Tyreece John-Jules, as per a report from Lancs Live, with the 20-year-old seeing limited game time at Blackpool so far this season.

The forward, who has been limited to just 603 minutes of Championship football, has not played since mid-October, finding himself behind the likes of Shayne Lavery, Gary Madine and Jerry Yates from Blackpool's current forward options.

John-Jules has been unable to find a Championship goal in his 11 appearances for the Tangerines this season.

The report states that no action has been taken yet, instead, they are merely assessing their options.

John-Jules has made the bench for Neil Critchley's side just once in their 13 second-tier fixtures, but he will be hoping for another opportunity when Blackpool travel to Hartlepool United for an FA Cup clash on Saturday.

The verdict

John-Jules is far down in the pecking order, and given that it is January, Blackpool could even bolster their attacking options as the month progresses.

The forward has shown his quality in glimpses, however, it has not been enough to bolster his position within the squad.

John-Jules will be desperate for some sort of involvement against Hartlepool at the weekend, but if he does not make the squad, it will be no surprise if that will be the point that Arsenal recall him and perhaps send him elsewhere.

It remains to be seen if the young forward will get another chance to impress at Bloomfield Road, but if he is to get another chance, it would be on Saturday.
