Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be keeping tabs on Brentford winger, Said Benrahma over a potential deal in the summer according to Le Buteur.
The French media outlet claim that the two Premier League giants are interested in the 23-year-old after he burst onto the scene in the Championship with a number of impressive performances.
Benrahma only joined the Championship side in the summer of 2018, but has proved to be an excellent signing for the Bees this season.
But after a slightly slow start, he has found his feet and hasn’t looked back since.
The Algerian winger has even goals and 11 assists in the league which shows how much of a positive impact he has had on this Brentford side this season.
It remains to be seen as to whether Chelsea or Arsenal will submit formal offers for the in-form EFL star, but he will surely be tempted by a move to the Premier League amid their reported interest.
Brentford supporters will be hoping that Benrahma can remain grounded as he can play a starring role in their team for many seasons to come if his first season is anything to go by.
The Bees host QPR at the weekend, in what could be a potentially tricky fixture after the Hoops defeated promotion-chasing Leeds in midweek.
He should consider his next move carefully.
There’s no doubting that he has the quality to move to a Premier League side, but he needs to make the right move to a club that will be able to give him the game time he needs.
I’m not sure a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea would be a wise move for the Algerian.
