Arsenal have agreed a fee with Bolton for talented young England defender Rob Holding, according to a report in the Express.
It’s been an abysmal season for Bolton who due to boardroom insecurities have barely invested in the squad and after their relegation to League One, won’t be able to keep hold of their best prospects like Vela, Clough and now, Holding.
With the vultures circling for all three Bolton will need to get it resolved soon with a complete overhaul needed.
With no silverware won the pressure is firmly on Wenger to deliver and improve upon their 2nd place position, and youth prodigy Rob Holding could be the second incoming of the summer after the club signed Granit Xhaka from Monchengladbach.
Rather than playing League One football a move to Arsenal seems likely with the fee around £1.5 million plus add ons reported.
Holding has been tracked by the top clubs in England and Europe, and played for England at youth level in their victorious Toulon tournament triumph, whilst also being a regular starter for Bolton, being voted Players Player of the Season in what has been a difficult campaign.
Bolton fans, what do you think to this news? Just how good is Holding? Let us know your thoughts!!
