Sheffield Wednesday claimed their fourth League One win of the season last night as they beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 at the DW Stadium but the performance of Lewis Wing has divided opinion.

Darren Moore's side were without captain Barry Bannan, who only made the bench after picking up a knock against Ipswich Town on the weekend, but still managed to pick up an impressive victory against a Latics side that were top of the table and unbeaten at home in the league heading into the game.

Max Power's own-goal gifted the Owls the lead after 23 minutes while Callum Paterson's brilliant strike put them two up in the second half.

Despite Charlie Wyke's late penalty, Wednesday were able to hold on to claim all three points and that was in no small part due to the performance of Wing.

Playing in a central midfield duo alongside Sam Hutchinson, the summer signing worked tirelessly for the visitors and produced a gargantuan defensive display.

However, he left a little to be desired with the ball at his feet – finishing with a pass accuracy of just 61% and losing possession 21 times.

The 26-year-old's display has proven divise, with many Wednesday fans taking to Twitter to have their say...
