The Argentinean forward has been the subject of intense speculation with many people expecting him to sign for the Whites this week, having been spotted in Leeds Station on Sunday evening.

Those suggestions were wide of the mark and boss Steve Evans had even said this week that the former Leeds talisman was not on his radar, due to his poor fitness levels.

It is now thought that the agent of the forward is keen to meet up with the Leeds manager and the club’s hierarchy to allow them to get down to business.

Becchio is looking for a way back into the Elland Road outfit having departed Argentinean club Belgrano last month and it is thought the striker could now sign terms, subject to his fitness, during the January transfer window.

Becchio would still have something to offer the second tier of English football and it would be interesting to see how the Leeds fans would take to the forward.

Leeds fans… Do you want Becchio back? Do you think it is slightly odd that Becchio has just rocked up in Leeds and now wants talks with the football club? Let us know below!
