Aston Villa are in the midst of an electric run of form.

Steve Bruce’s side have chalked up four wins from their past five league meetings, in a spell that has seen the former Wigan Athletic boss’ side rise to fourth in the table, just five points from an automatic promotion spot.

Victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon saw their fine run continue, with redhot forward Albert Adomah adding another two goals to his tally.

Five goals in his last three games, Adomah has been converted into a striker by his manager in the absence of Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan, and Villa could ride into the Premier League on the back of his performances if the London-born man’s fine displays continue.

Bruce has assembled a very strong squad at Villa Park, and it appears their quality at this level is beginning to show.

With the likes of John Terry set to return to the side in the new year, the club look set to launch a sustained challenge for that all important Premier League return.
