Darren Randolph is a target for Aston Villa as they look to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer following their promotion to the Premier League.

The 32-year-old is currently at Middlesbrough, where he has excelled since making the move from West Ham United.

His performances last season were particularly impressive, with the Irishman starring but unfortunately for Boro it wasn't enough for the side to make the play-offs as they missed out on the final day.

And, that game could potentially be Randolph's last for the club, with the Telegraph revealing that he is one of several names that Dean Smith is looking at ahead of Villa's return to the top-flight.

Yet, the potential arrival of the stopper, who was named in the Championship Team of the Year, has not gone down too well with Villa fans who think he isn't good enough for where they want to be.
