There have been some cracking goals at Bramall Lane down the years. Whether it be a moment of pure inspiration, an important winner, or just a rocket of a shot out of nowhere, most Blades fans will have their favourite goal.

Who can forget David Unsworth and his last minute winner against Hull City to send the Blades within touching distance of promotion? James Beattie's last minute thunderbolt of a free kick against Sheffield Wednesday, and going further back, many will remember Keith Edwards and Alan Woodward scoring some absolute belters.

Away from home has seen some quality too, Nick Montgomery shocked everyone at Tranmere with an unbelievable strike, while Danny Webber sealed promotion to the Premier League with a lovely finish 10 years ago.

Picking just a few goals and calling them the best of all time is hard work, and having to leave out Tony Currie and the famous commentary of 'a quality goal....from a quality player' is tough.

However, FLW writer Lee Connor has taken a look at what he considers the THREE greatest Sheffield United goals of all time...

Michael Brown vs Sheffield Wednesday - 2003

What can I say? My favourite ever United goal growing up is this one from Michael Brown. A stunning volley to give the Blades a 2-1 lead in what would eventually turn into a 3-1 win over the Blades' steel city rivals.

Brown would score plenty of spectacular goals that season, but one trumps them all for me.

Brian Deane vs Liverpool - 1992

Probably one of the more iconic goals, and from a player Blades fans absolutely love. Brian Deane lobbing Bruce Grobbelaar is probably one of the most famous goals ever scored.

The goal takes place around 1 minute and 25 seconds into this clip, and its one to savour. The technique and composure Deane shows is something to behold, and is still one my favourite goals of all time.

Phil Jagielka vs Leeds United - 2003

This goal, another from the 2002-03 season, is quite simply one of the best strikes I have ever seen.

1-0 down against a strong Leeds United side, Phil Jagielka strided over the halfway line, took the ball on his chest, and hammered home an absolute wonder strike to get the Blades back into the game in the last minute.

United went on to win the game with Peter Ndlovu getting a late winner in one of the most exciting games ever seen at Bramall Lane.
