Aston Villa fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday today, a result which seriously increases the pressure on Steve Bruce.

The fans showed their anger at the manager and the team after goals from Marco Matias and Steven Fletcher gave the Yorkshire side all three points.

An incredible goal from John McGinn was sandwiched between the two, but it wasn't enough as Villa failed to win for the sixth time this season.

Villa struggled in a very poor first half and whilst they had spells of pressure after the break, they didn't create too many real clear cut chances in an uninspiring display.

It leaves Bruce's side 12th before the evening kick-off and he will be under serious scrutiny after another poor performance.

The majority of fans made their feelings clear at the full-time whistle, with a section calling for the manager to go.
