Anthony Knockaert has sent a message to Fulham fans on social media after completing his move from Brighton.

The 27-year-old winger has joined Scott Parker's side on a season-long loan, with a view to a permanent transfer next summer.

After his move was confirmed, Knockaert posted several photos of himself in his new Fulham shirt on his personal Instagram account, alongside a message to supporters, saying that he wants to help the team win promotion from the Championship this season.

Knockaert wrote in his message on Instagram: "New chapter ... new start ! I want to thank everyone at @fulhamfc to have welcomed me with open arms ! I can’t wait to get started and try my best to help the team to go back to the top #ffc"

Knockaert scored 27 goals in 139 appearances for Brighton during his three-and-a-half year spell at the club and helped the Seagulls win automatic promotion to the Premier League in 2016/17.

The Frenchman scored 15 goals and provided nine assists in 45 league appearances and picked up the Championship Player of the Season award in an outstanding campaign.

The winger has made 63 Premier League appearances over the past two seasons, scoring two goals and providing six assists as Brighton finished 17th in the top flight last term.

Knockaert could make his debut for Fulham when the Whites face newly-promoted Barnsley at Oakwell on the opening day of the season.

The Verdict

I think Knockaert is a fantastic signing for Fulham. Even though he didn't quite live up to expectations in the Premier League with Brighton, he is still a very good player and was excellent the last time he was in the Championship.

He's a very talented footballer and will add another dimension to Fulham's attack, which has already been strengthened by the arrival of Wolves winger Ivan Cavaleiro and Aleksandar Mitrović’s new contract.

I'm sure Fulham fans will be delighted that the club have been able to secure his services and will also be very encouraged by his message.

Fulham possibly have the best attack in the Championship and fans have every reason to be confident of their side's chances of promotion this coming season.
