Fulham remain in contention to win promotion into the Premier League this season under the guidance of Scott Parker.

The Cottagers are currently sat third in the second tier standings, and will be hoping they can build on some impressive showings so far this season.

One player that has played a key role in their bid for promotion this term is Anthony Knockaert, who signed on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2019.

The winger has since made 34 appearances for Fulham, and has chipped in with four goals and five assists so far in all competitions.

It remains to be seen as to whether Knockaert has a future with the Seagulls, although that could be dependant on whether Fulham win promotion into the Premier League this season or not.

Speaking in a Q&A session on his official Instagram page, Knockaert revealed that the best player he has ever played alongside was former Brighton and Hove Albion defender Bruno Saltor, which is certain to go down well with the club's supporters.

Bruno announced his retirement from his playing career at the end of the 2018/19 season, with his final match being against Manchester City back in May 2019.

The Verdict:

Bruno was a fantastic servant to Brighton and Hove Albion.

He might not have technically been the most eye-catching of players, but he certainly did a fine job for the Seagulls in some impressive seasons for the club.

It'll be interesting to see whether Knockaert has much of a future with Brighton, especially given the strong performances he has been putting in for promotion-chasing Fulham this season.

You would imagine that Scott Parker will be keen to make his loan move a permanent one in the summer if the Cottagers are to win promotion back into the Premier League.
