‘Another terrible move by Pulis’ – Middlesbrough’s latest transfer revelation has really got these fans talking

Middlesbrough have hit a bit of a rocky patch in recent weeks with their challenge for automatic promotion stalling. 

Tony Pulis’s side have won just two of their last eight matches, moving from second down into fifth place and six points behind Norwich City who currently occupy second place.

Ultimately, the January transfer window could not have come at a better time for the North East side with reinforcements clearly needed to reinvigorate their promotion push.

Rajiv van la Parra has already arrived from Huddersfield Town but fans will be expecting more.

Some slightly unexpected news emerged on Thursday, however, and not the type of transfer news many fans will have wanted.

Striker Martin Braithwaite had agreed to move to Spanish side Leganes until the end of the season after a disappointing first half of the season.

The 27-year-old had scored just three goals in 17 Championship appearances this season but the Boro faithful were still confused as to what this meant.
