Norwich City teenager Bali Mumba produced an impressive display in his side's 1-0 win against Swansea City yesterday, which seems to have caught the attention of many Sunderland fans.

The 19-year-old left the Black Cats to join Norwich in the summer and made his second Championship appearance for the Canaries in the win against Swansea.

Mumba came off the bench to replace Lungi Sorensen at left-back and played a key role in the decisive goal – cutting inside and driving into the box before firing the ball into Emiliano Buendia whose lay-off was converted powerfully by Marco Stiepermann.

The teenager's display was hailed by the Championship club on social media after the game.

It will likely pain many at the Stadium of Light to see Mumba thriving, with the defender a product of their academy system.

He developed through the Black Cats' age-group sides but just didn't get enough opportunities in the first team and was snapped up for what seemed a cut-price deal by Norwich in the summer window.
