Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce looks to continue his unbeaten run since taking over at Hillsborough, as the Owls make the trip to Stoke City this weekend, looking to continue their late push for a play-off spot.

Bruce has received a boost ahead of the game, when striker Gary Hooper finally returned to training this week having not played since December 2017, it was confirmed on the club website.

So is the return of Hooper good news for the Owls?

We discuss........

George Harbey

"It’s a massive boost for Wednesday at such an important stage of the season.

"Hooper is a fantastic striker at this level and will be determined to make a mark under Bruce.

"This is a very timely boost with Fletcher being out injured."

Louie Chandler

"Of course it is good news.

"There are no guarantees that Hooper will be at his best straight away after such a long time out, in fact it is very unlikely.

"But just increasing competition for places in attack can only be a good thing."

Jay Taylor

“Yeah big boost, especially considering that Lucas Joao is out for a while.

“It’s another forward to bolster the ranks and push for an unlikely play-off stop.

“Hooper has quality; he has shown that in the past, it will be another string to the bow of Bruce.”
