There’s no doubt that this is a massive week for Sunderland.

After a long, hard season it seems that the fate of the Black Cats’ season will be decided in the next two weeks as fans wait to hear if the campaign will be a success or a failure.

Lee Johnson’s side face a dramatic double-header against Lincoln City this week, before a potential clash with either Oxford United or Blackpool in the play-off final if they can see off the Imps.

But it’s not just Sunderland’s senior side who are enjoying a big end to the season.

The Wearsiders are putting real focus on their under-23s side this term and that also seems to be reaping rewards with the development side also qualifying for the Premier League 2 Division 2 Play-Off final.

The young Black Cats saw off Stoke City with a 2-0 on Monday evening at the Bet365 Stadium thanks to goals from Josh Hawkes and Oliver Younger.

As a result the side will the winners of Crystal Palace vs Wolves for a spot in Premier League 2 Division 1 next term.

As you’d imagine, supporters were delighted for the young Sunderland and couldn’t hide their delight on social media. Here’s what some of them had to say.
