Southampton are set to reignite their interest in Birmingham's Che Adams this summer, although they will face competition from several Premier League sides.

The former Sheffield United man grabbed his 22nd goal of the season on Saturday as Blues beat Leeds to ease their relegation concerns and it continued Adams' fine campaign.

However, such form has not gone unnoticed, with The Sun revealing that the Saints will be back in for the player when the window opens having had a bid rejected in January.

Yet, there is set to be a battle for the players signature, with the report adding that Everton, Burnley and Norwich are monitoring the player.

Given that, Blues will hope for a bidding war in the summer and they are believed to value their prize asset at around £15m.

It seems inevitable that Adams will leave Garry Monk's side in the summer after they were recently hit with a nine-point deduction after failing to comply with the latest FFP rules.

That has left the side five points above the relegation zone with six games to play.

The Verdict

Adams has been outstanding this season and was deservedly nominated for Player of the Year in the Championship, which highlights just how good he has been.

Therefore, interest in his is understandable and he is ready to make the move up next season.

All he can do now is concentrate on ending the campaign well for Blues and then think about his future in the summer as there's sure to be a lot of options on the table.
