Leeds United fans are a vocal lot and they've been quick to react to news of Stoke City's move for Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods.

24-year old Woods looks likely to join Gary Rowett's side today in a £6.5m deal which will initially be a loan, but the switch has drawn criticism from some quarters.

Journalist Phil Hay has questioned the EFL's deadline for purchases when clubs are getting around it with such ease.

The extension of the loan deadline has simply seen clubs change the parameters of a deal to include an initial loan spell, completely negating the deadline of a couple of weeks ago.

Leeds' fans are also unhappy with the buying power Stoke City seem to have, with one remarking how a reward for Gary Rowett's awful start to the season is a huge chunk of money to buy another player.

They've also accused the recently-relegated side of attempting to buy the league, a risky strategy as proven by clubs suffering FFP problems this season.

There's also a degree of jealousy that an accomplished and exciting footballer is seemingly out of reach of Bielsa's side, despite them setting the early pace.

Here's a selection of responses from Twitter...
