Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of 17-year-old forward Jordan O’Brien from non-league Corby Town according to journalist Dom Howson on Twitter.
The youngster will link up with the Owls academy, and has the ability to play both out wide and in a central role.
Formerly of Leicester City’s academy, O’Brien has potential, and fans will hope to one day see the teenager break into the first-team squad at Hillsborough.
The Owls are currently in a difficult run of form, with manager Carlos Carvalhal’s job hanging by a thread.
A long way off the playoff spots, the Owls look destined for yet another season of second tier football, and fans have been extremely critical of their side in recent weeks.
Frustrated Owls supporters took to Twitter to have their say on their first signing of the winter….
Might as well not bother no-one gets in first team anyways
