Many Birmingham City fans have taken to Twitter to react to Alvaro Gimenez's post which makes reference to the goal that he scored in the club's 3-2 victory over Reading last Saturday.

The Spaniard, who joined the Blues for a reported fee of £1.4m from Almeria in the summer, took his tally for the season to three at the Madejski Stadium.

An own-goal from Michael Morrison combined with a sumptuous free-kick from Jeremie Bela gave Birmingham a 2-1 lead against the Royals before Gimenez effectively sealed all three points for his side in the 88th minute by firing past goalkeeper Rafael Cabral.

Having found the back of the net at the weekend, the Spaniard will be determined to build upon this display by producing an eye-catching performance in the club's clash with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow night.

A win for the Blues at St Andrew's could allow them to move up to ninth in the Championship standings depending on the outcome of results elsewhere.
