Gillingham completed another summer signing yesterday, picking up MK Dons midfielder Ousseynou Cisse following his release.

The 28-year-old can play either in the centre of midfield or the centre of defence and joins Jack Bonham, Lee Hodson, Matty Willock, Stuart O'Keefe and Connor Ogilvie as a new face at Priestfield.

The Mali international began his career with Amiens, having spent time with Paris St Germain as a youngster. He later played for Dijon in Ligue 2, before moves to Rayo Vallecano and Tours. That led him to Stadium MK, where he's made 68 appearances in two seasons.

Manager Steve Evans was delighted with the capture, telling the club's official site; “At 6’5 he is a big strong defensive midfield player.

"He has got fantastic talent and is capable of making the types of passes from a slightly deeper area, that will help us break the lines and give our defensive players clear opportunities to attack visiting defences."

Plenty of supporters from both sides reacted as the news was confirmed. Gillingham fans are happy to have a big, physical player join the ranks, but there is a word of caution from the MK Dons camp, as you'll see below.
