Aston Villa have won one and lost one this season under Dean Smith in the Sky Bet Championship.

The loss, of course, came last time out against Norwich with winger Anwar El-Ghazi coming in for some serious criticism.

In our latest Terrace Chat, then, we asked Villa fans to discuss the winger's season so far...

Terry, 52, Solihull

"He seems like he's struggling to adapt to the second tier, and I'm worried that his lack of minutes on the pitch won't do him any good, he looks like a confidence player and Smith needs to give him a consistent run of games in the first-team to build him up.

"He has so much competition at out wide, so it's always going to be a struggle for him to get in, right now, I'd say he's had a disappointing spell so far."

Sam, 20, Birmingham

"He looks so poor, and I worry that he'll struggle to feature much under Dean Smith, his cameo display against Norwich in the week was woeful. We need players who have a hunger and appetite to impress, but you just get the feeling that he's got a 'big-time Charlie' mentality. Certainly been very disappointing so far."

Maria, 28, Birmingham

"Another Bruce clanger for me. I thought initially he looked a decent player but so often initial impressions can be wrong.

"I just don't think he has the raw fight and grit you need for the Championship - and that goes for a few of our players right now. We need footballers that are going to scrap and keep at it and he just seems a little flaky to me."

Abdul, 39, Dudley

"I liked him when he first came to the club and I just hope he can try and find that form once again. He's got a decent CV and in his first game he looked like a decent talent with plenty of ability.

"Clearly, the poor form of the side and the Steve Bruce fiasco has done him no favours and now it's a test of his character. Hopefully, he can prove himself and he is still young, let's be fair."
