Bolton Wanderers are making plenty of headlines but not for reasons they will be too pleased about.
The Trotters have been fighting relegation this season and it has not been helped by the ongoing financial saga in the boardroom.
Ken Anderson has come under from the fans, and it is clear that the players and staff have not been best treated with a number of missed deadlines for salaries being paid.
However, there are also suggestions that a takeover is finally, gradually, edging nearer and the latest update from Alan Nixon should provide at least some more hope.
This is what he had to say:
BOLTON. Move to bring Mike James on board means Basran team won’t have to pay so much at start. Has to be a crucial step forward.

The Trotters have been fighting against it all this season and still have a chance of safety, though it is that bit slimmer after Sheffield Wednesday beat them last night.
Long term, though, it looks as though there is progress in terms of a takeover…
It’s progress, but it’s slow and fans won’t be holding their breath.
We’ve seen this sort of news before with Bolton, and with other clubs, and until it goes through the supporters won’t be getting too excited.
It does seem as though there is some movement, though, and so it remains to be seen what exactly happens.
