Coventry City look set to miss out on the signing of Nottingham Forest forward Tyler Walker, with the 22-year-old set to move on loan to League One rivals Lincoln City.

The Sky Blues will be on the lookout for a new forward in the final week of the transfer window, having recently let go of Conor Chaplin who has signed for Championship side Barnsley.

Mark Robins' side have been heavily linked with a move to sign Walker, with reports claiming that the West Midlands side will look to acquire his services on a season-long loan deal for the forthcoming 2019/20 campaign.

But reports from the Nottingham Post now claim that Lincoln City, who were crowned champions of League Two last season, are close to completing the loan signing of the young striker.

The 22-year-old scored 26 goals in all competitions for Mansfield Town last season, as the Stags missed out on promotion to League One via the play-offs.

It's likely to come as a massive kick in the teeth if Walker does go and sign for Lincoln, given that both sides are likely to be fighting it out for a place in the upper echelons of the League One table this season.

Here, we take a look at Coventry fans' reactions to this latest transfer news...
