Plenty of Charlton fans have reacted on Twitter after a picture was shared of the club's new chairman with Peterborough United's Darragh MacAnthony.

East Street Investments' takeover of the Addicks was finally approved by the EFL last week after weeks of checks, ending the reign of the much-maligned Roland Duchatelet, and allowing Southall to assume his new role as club chairman.

The picture, shared by MacAnthony on Twitter, has unsurprisingly sparked plenty of activity in the minds of Charlton fans as well, especially with the January transfer window now open again.

Back in the summer, the South Londoners had a substantial bid for Peterborough marksman Ivan Toney rejected late in the day, and this picture will do nothing to slow down rumours of a return bid being made.

With Lyle Taylor potentially on his way out this, it is clear that Toney is somebody the fans would love to see brought in...
