‘Announce relegation’ – Sheffield United fans left divided after controversial news

Sheffield United have re-signed former striker Ched Evans from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee, the club have confirmed.

The Welshman arrives at Bramall Lane for his second spell with his club, after being released by the Blades in 2012 following his rape conviction, which was a considerable loss for the club after he scored a whopping 35 goals during the 2011/12 season.

The forward scored just 6 times for Chesterfield this season, in what was a dismal campaign for the Spireites, culminating in relegation to League Two.

This move has come as a shock to some Blades fans, with some doubting his goalscoring ability after being on the sidelines for a considerable amount of time, however there is no doubt that he will be welcomed back with open arms by many.

What does the Bramall Lane faithful make of this move then? We at FLW took to Twitter, to get the views of the Blades fans…
