Birmingham City suffered their fourth consecutive league loss in a row against Leeds United last night, meaning that Harry Redknapp’s side have now gone a whole month without victory.

The former Tottenham manager spent big this summer as he attempts to transform the Blues from relegation candidates to promotion contenders in the space of a summer, and it appears the club are well and truly still involved in the transition period.

Birmingham returned to action from the international break with a host of new signings of their books, including Brentford trio Jota, Maxime Colin and Harlee Dean, but back-to-back defeats has left the club struggling in the bottom three.

To make matters even worse, record signing Jota was forced off the field with a suspected hamstring injury, and the club will find out today the severity of the Spaniard’s injury.
