Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Rangers winger Barrie McKay, their official site has confirmed.
The 22-year-old has penned a four-year deal with the East Midlands club and becomes Mark Warburton’s second summer signing, joining fellow Scot Jason Cummings at The City Ground.
McKay is an outstanding coup for Forest and if he quickly adapts to Championship football, they could have a real player on their hands.
McKay, who is quick, skilful, can pick a pass and is comfortable using both feet, could be a real menace in next season’s Sky Bet Championship and is another welcome addition to Forest’s already strong attack.
After so much talk and rumours about his expected move, Forest supporters have been quick to comment on McKay’s signing with some Rangers fans also tweeting their views about their former player’s move.
So FLW writer Harry Webster takes a look at some of the best reactions so far…
Good luck, Barrie. A shame that you weren't playing for us when we had a team on your wavelength. No doubt you'll do well down there.
