Millwall have completed the signing of Scunthorpe United defender Murray Wallace, the club's official website has announced.

Wallace moved to Millwall after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the centre-back and he commits his long-term future to The New Den.

The 25-year-old, formerly of Huddersfield Town, moved to Scunthorpe three years ago and established himself as a firm fans' favourite during his stint at Glanford Park.

With nearly 150 appearances under his belt with the Iron, Wallace leaves to test himself in the Championship again.

The former Scotland under-21 international, who has ambitions of a senior call-up, can play as a centre-half or as a left-back, providing depth for Neil Harris at the back.

Wallace played 54 games for Scunthorpe last year, underlining his importance to the side as they reached the League One play-offs but yet again fell short at that hurdle.
