Nottingham Forest today confirmed that striker Jason Cummings has joined League One Peterborough on loan for next season.

The capture of the Scotland international is a real coup for The Posh, who will be paying all of his wages during his time at the club.

Despite struggling at Forest, the 22-year old was prolific north of the border with Hibs and cost The Reds around £1m when he made the move 12 months ago.

Therefore, they were looking to move him on this summer and Steve Evans will hope Cummings can help his side to promotion.

However, for Forest fans, the fact that they had moved the striker on meant many thought a new one could be arriving.

And, they have been linked all summer with the man Cummings is probably about to replace at the ABAX Stadium - Jack Marriott.

The striker scored 27 goals in League One during the previous campaign and was the immediate thought of many fans on twitter as soon as this deal was announced between the two clubs...
