There have been a number of impressive performers during Wolverhampton Wanderers’ excellent start to the Sky Bet Championship season.

Two of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad have got fans on the edge of their seat on numerous occasions this season – Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota.

The Portuguese duo were two high-profile arrivals at Molineux over the summer transfer window, and both have played a major role in helping Wolves to second in the Championship table after 11 fixtures.

£15m signing Neves has been key in Wolves' midfield, whilst Jota, on-loan from Atletico Madrid, has already scored six Championship goals this season.

Both players have spent the last week away from Molineux, representing Portugal’s under-21 squad during the international break.

Neves and Jota both completed 90 minutes for their national side yesterday afternoon, as Portugal’s youngsters suffered a 3-1 defeat to Bosnia.

Nuno will welcome both players back to Molineux towards the end of this week, ahead of Wolves’ clash with Aston Villa on Saturday night.
