The 30th May 2019 is a day that Erling Haaland will surely remember for the rest of life.

Representing Norway at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, Haaland hit a World Cup record nine goals as the Norwegians thrashed their Honduran counterparts 12-0 in the final game of the tournament's group stage.

Understandably, the praise for Haaland came flooding in on social media, including from his father Alf, who as a former professional himself was keen to express his pride in his son's performance.

Haaland senior is  of course is a former Leeds United icon, having spent three years at Elland Road between 1997 and 2000.

It was during that time that Erling was born, and the younger Haaland - who currently plays for Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg - admitted to Norwegian publication Aftenposten in February 2017 that it was his dream to win the Premier League with Leeds.

Unsurprisingly then, the replies to Haaland senior's tweet were flooded with Leeds fans urging him to make a move to Elland Road a reality for his son.

Here are some of the best of those reactions.
