Following the departure of Justin Edinburgh, League One club Northampton have announced that Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink is the club’s new manager.

The former Chelsea striker, who also played for clubs as varied as Leeds and Atletico Madrid, has signed a three-year contract.

Northampton currently sit rock bottom of the League One table on zero points having scored just two goals in their opening four games but conceding ten.

Upon Hasselbaink’s arrival at the club, Northampton’s chairman Kelvin Thomas had this to say:

"He is an inspirational leader, someone who has had success at this level in the recent past and we think he is a very good fit here.”

The new manager’s first game in charge of Northampton comes at home against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

But what do Northampton’s fans think of this?
