Blackburn Rovers have enjoyed a good season back in the Sky Bet Championship this season and will be hoping to end it on a high.
We’ve got around two months left of the campaign now and Rovers find themselves well away from the drop-zone, and with an outside chance of the play-offs.
They’d have to go on some run to achieve the top six, though, and so it could be the case that, for this year, they’re staying put.
That is no bad thing as Tony Mowbray looks to build something good at Ewood Park and he’ll be buoyed by the impression Ben Brereton has made for the U23 side last night.
The striker was signed from Nottingham Forest for decent money but he’s yet to really show what he can do.
However, he remains a young forward with plenty to learn and, clearly, he just needs to build confidence – something he went about doing last night.
Indeed, he scored a brace for Rovers and fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight at that.
Let’s take a look at what has been said:

Wow, it's almost as if taking the pressure off a young striker with a huge price tag can do wonders for a lad's confidence…
