Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town confirmed Sheffield Wednesday’s place in the Sky Bet Championship’s Play-Offs for the second year running.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side have one fixture of the regular season remaining, when they face Fulham at Hillsborough on Sunday, before embarking on a Play-Off campaign.

Wednesday lost the Play-Off final 1-0 to Hull City 12 months ago, and Carvalhal will be hopeful his side have learnt from the mistakes made last year.

A host of players have performed admirably for Wednesday this season, Keiren Westwood has again impressed in goal, along with the defensive partnership of Tom Lees and Glenn Loovens.

Fernando Forestieri has been the club’s leading scorer with 12 goals, standing out in a very talented squad.

One player who has found opportunities limited has been Jose Semedo, who is a fan favourite in South-Yorkshire.

The 32-year old has recently taken to his personal Twitter account to insist he is enjoying every moment with Wednesday, claiming he always knew he had an important role to play at the club.

Semedo is out of contract at Hillsborough in the summer, with a new deal yet to offered to the popular midfielder.
