Many Nottingham Forest supporters have been urging Matty Cash to sign a new contract following his excellent performances during the Reds' impressive 4-0 win at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

Cash produced another impressive individual display for Nottingham Forest, with his driving runs forwards from right-back to support Joe Lolley in attack helping the Reds create a lot of problems for QPR's defence throughout the contest, whilst he also performed his defensive duties helping Sabri Lamouchi's side record a third successive clean sheet.

The 22-year-old's latest display is just one of a number of performances from him which have caught the eye so far this campaign, with Cash slotting into right-back to cover for the injured Tendayi Darikwa, and making it appear as though he has been playing in that position for his entire career.

Given Cash's performances so far this term, it is no surprise that he has been linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of the January transfer window - and Forest need to do everything they can to ensure that they manage to retain his services if they are going to be able to mount a successful promotion bid.
