Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear has revealed that a decision has been made over the "fantastic kit designs" for next season.

It is understood that the Whites will change kit manufacturers this summer, switching from Kappa to Adidas ahead of a potential return to the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are top of the Championship and have a healthy seven-point cushion over the play-off places with nine games to play.

There have been images circling on social media predicting how the new strip will look and, in his piece for the Yorkshire Evening Post, Kinnear revealed a decision has been made over the 2020/21 kit.

Discussing the virtual board meeting held by the club this week, he said: "There was a semblance of normality as we signed off the fantastic kit designs for the 2021/22 season."

Despite the current delay to the EFL season, it appears that Whites fans will have to wait until next season to see Bielsa's side play in their new Adidas manufactured kit as they will reportedly not change until the 2019/20 campaign is completed, irrelevant of how long that takes.

All Championship fixtures have been suspended for more than a month and at this point, it is unclear if, how and when they will return.

The Verdict

Obviously, there is still a long way to go before the start of the 2020/21 campaign, particularly due to the current delay, but these comments from Kinnear will no doubt generate some excitement for next season.

There have been a number of different mock-ups of potential kits circling on social media, so it will be interesting to see whether any of those were close to the mark.

Whites supporters will be desperately hoping that they get to see the new strip worn in the Premier League and not the Championship next term.
