Angel Rangel has congratulated Queens Park Rangers teammate Dom Ball who was named Player of the Month for February.

QPR fans have grown fond of Ball, and they voted in their masses to award him Player of the Month for February. He's become a mainstay in the QPR side after working his way into the starting line-up, but he's quickly become a leader in the middle of the pitch, and fans love him.

Following those emphatic wins over the Welsh at the start of the year, QPR took a downturn in form and looked as though they could slip into a relegation dogfight come May.

But Mark Warburton stuck to his guns, named an unchanged side in the last five outings (bar Grant Hall getting injured in the warm-up last time out), and has seen his side go five unbeaten and up into the mid-table region.

Ball has been influential to that form. Sitting in-front of the defence, he's got everything a complete midfield player should, and is putting in a good case to become club captain next year should Hall not renew his expiring contract before the summer.

Commenting on QPR's Instagram post about Ball's award, teammate Rangel shared this message:

He too has been prominent in QPR's recent resurgence, and the 38-year-old looks as though he could be offered another year extension to his stay.

The verdict

QPR look as good now as they have done all season under Warburton. They're looking more solid defensively, they've gotten over the Nahki Wells hangover, and a mid-table finish is now a real possibility.

Fans will want to see Ball do more of the same at Preston tomorrow, where QPR will look to go six unbeaten in the league.
