Queens Park Rangers battled it out with Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon to earn a valuable point as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at the City Ground.

The R's may feel a little fortunate to come away with something from the game after Joe Worrall's header in the first half was controversially ruled out.

However, the point sees QPR move up to 15th in the table.

The result will no doubt be encouraging for Mark Warburton, whose side are now three games without defeat in the Championship ahead of back-to-back home matches against Derby and Birmingham before the end of the week.

Rangers defender and Championship stalwart Angel Rangel played the full ninety minutes for his side at the weekend, and took to social media to share his thoughts on the draw.

The 37-year-old Spaniard said that his side put in a "solid performance" and also praised the fact that QPR had kept their second consecutive clean sheet away from home.

However, he also claimed in jest that one of Forest's players was culpable of diving during the game.

Rangel has featured a total of sixteen times for Rangers this season in defence, playing a 1322 minutes of Championship football for the R's.

The Verdict

QPR will look back at the result and see it as a point gained against a side who are in the mix for promotion.

However, the R's will have to count themselves lucky that Forest's goal did not stand.

Despite that, Rangers' recent results have put a stop to their three game losing run in the Championship, and Mark Warburton will be hoping that it continues against Derby County on Tuesday night.
