QPR right-back Angel Rangel has posted a picture on social media of him with former Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio.

The 36-year-old has made 20 Championship appearances for QPR this season, but last night he attended the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.

The Spaniard posted this photo on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon.

The photo shows the right-back alongside his former Swansea City teammate Andrea Orlandi and former Leeds striker Becchio in front of the pitch at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs won the game 1-0 thanks to a spectacular 88th-minute winner from Christian Eriksen, and Rangel added a message saying that he enjoyed the match.

The QPR player went on to say that it was good to see his friends and described Becchio as a Leeds legend and a top guy.

Becchio scored 86 goals in 219 appearances for Leeds between 2008 and 2013 and was a fan favourite at Elland Road.

The Whites are currently third in the Championship table, three points behind second-placed Sheffield United in the automatic promotion race with two games to go.

Meanwhile, QPR are still looking for a new manager after Steve McClaren was sacked over three weeks ago, but secured their Championship survival over the Easter weekend.

The Verdict

It's good to see Rangel enjoying himself, as he has missed the last couple of matches for QPR.

No doubt he would have enjoyed the game last night in Spurs' magnificent new stadium.

He will be hoping to force his way back into the QPR team for their final two matches of the season against Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.
