Andreas Weimann has sent a message to Bristol City fans on social media, following the 1-0 win over Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Famara Diedhiou scored the only goal of the game at Ashton Gate in the 12th minute, as the Robins extended their unbeaten run to ten matches in the Championship and climbed into the play-off places.

Weimann has been an important player for Bristol City this season and has started every game for the Robins in the Championship, scoring four goals.

The striker took to social media after the win over Reading to reflect on the performance and posted a couple of photos from the game on his personal

Weimann added a message to Bristol City fans and admitted that although it wasn't the best performance, it was a massive three points for the team and that it was important for them to continue their momentum going into the international break.

Bristol City finished eighth in the Championship last season, just four points outside the play-offs, and missed out on a top-six finish on the final day of the campaign, but they have made an encouraging start to their new season.

The Verdict

This was another big result for Bristol City. It wasn't the best performance, but the best teams always find a way to win when they're not at their best and that's what the Robins were able to do yesterday.

They rode their luck at times and it was far from pretty, but the main thing is that they were able to pick up another three points and continue their unbeaten run going into the international break.

Bristol City are starting to build some serious momentum and if they can keep this run going after the two-week break, there's no reason why they can't challenge for promotion this season.
