Andrea Radrizzani has stated that his moment of the season is still to come as Leeds United hope to win promotion back to the Premier League in the coming months.

Leeds, having missed out on the top-two last season, are in a strong position heading into the final nine games of the campaign, sitting top, a point ahead of West Bromwich Albion and seven points clear of third-placed Fulham.

Yet, the season has been put on hold due to the outbreak of coronavirus, with no concrete date set for the campaign to resume.

That’s led to plenty of boredom for the football people of this world, which prompted @LUFC to tweet highlights of the last time the Whites played – a 2-0 West Yorkshire derby victory over Huddersfield Town.

And, Radrizzani got fans talking on Twitter in response, with one fan putting the question to the Leeds owner about what has been his moment of the season so far.

The Italian responded with six simple words that will send a tingle down the spine of the Elland Road faithful: “That one has to come yet,” obviously alluding to promotion.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have some tough fixtures in the remaining nine games, including a meeting with Fulham and trip to Derby County.

The Verdict

Leeds fans are going to absolutely love this from Radrizzani, who is playing into their hands on social media.

Promotion is the aim of the game this season for Leeds, and without it, you could argue that Bielsa will have failed during his two years at Elland Road.

It appears that, from top to bottom, the focus at Leeds is not at risk of slipping.
