Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has thanked the club's fans for their support, as the team continue their preparations for the new season in Australia.

There are less than three weeks to go until the start of the 2019/20 Championship season and thousands of Leeds supporters have made the trip to Australia to support their side for the pre-season friendly matches against Manchester Untied and Western Sydney Wanderers.

No fewer than 3,600 Leeds fans attended an open training session at HBF Park in Perth today, as the players were put through their paces before tomorrow's clash with Manchester United.

After the session, the Leeds players thanked supporters for turning out by handing out t-shirts and signing autographs and Radrizzani has now thanked fans for their support with a message on Twitter.

Leeds will be hoping to challenge for automatic promotion from the Championship this season, after losing in the play-offs last term.

Marcelo Bielsa's side face Bristol City on the opening day of the new season and will be hoping to start the campaign with three points.

The Verdict

Leeds have got a huge fan base and they've always had fantastic support.

It's great to see so many fans attend the open training session and Radrizzani is only right to thank those who have travelled thousands of miles to show their support for the team.

They'll be a even bigger crowd for the game against Manchester United tomorrow and I'm sure the Leeds players will be determined to put in a good performance for the fans.
