Andrea Radrizzani has taken to his personal Twitter account to deliver an update on Leeds United’s search for a new head-coach, confirming that candidates will be spoken to in the coming week.

Leeds were sent into shock last month as Garry Monk handed in his resignation as the club’s head-coach, despite a successful 12-months in his role at Elland Road.

Monk’s decision to quit has left Radrizzani with the task of finding the 38-year old’s successor, just weeks after completing his 100% buyout of Leeds from Massimo Cellino.

A number of managers have been linked with the vacancy at Elland Road, but no clear indication has been made to who is on Radrizzani’s shortlist, just that candidates will be spoken to this week.

Aitor Karanka was early favourite for the job, but the Yorkshire Evening Post announced it was their understanding, that the former Middlesbrough boss was not under consideration by Leeds.

Since then odds on Pep Clotet, Monk’s assistant, taking over as head-coach have fallen dramatically, but the YEP also understand his appointment is unlikely.

Claudio Ranieri is another name that has been linked with the Leeds job and he is the new 2/1 favourite with SkyBet to replace Monk.

Leeds fans… Who do you think Radrizzani has in mind to replace Monk? Who do you want as your club’s next manager? Let us know your thoughts!
