Andi Weimann sends message to Bristol City fans after inspiring win v Reading

Published

on

Bristol City notched their first win of the Sky Bet Championship campaign on Tuesday evening as they edged out Reading 3-2 at the Select Car Leasing stadium.

The Robins surged into an early two-goal lead against the Royals before being pegged back one by the 20 minute mark, with Femi Azeez on the scoresheet for the hosts.

After half-time, the Robins restored their two-goal advantage, however, with Andi Weimann grabbing his second goal of the evening, whilst also ensuring that Liam Moore’s late effort wasn’t enough for Reading to get any points.

A good result for City, then, and a fine night for Weimann who clearly enjoyed himself judging by his latest Instagram post.

Taking to the social media channel, he praised the support in the away end from Robins fans and also made it clear that focus had quickly turned to Friday night where the men from Ashton Gate take on Swansea City in what is usually an entertaining occasion:

The likes of Callum O’Dowda and Andy King were among those to leave messages in the reply section as Weimann revelled in his brace and Robins fans will hope that there is plenty more of that to follow both against Swansea and for this season.
