Leeds United moved back to second place in the Championship with their win over Millwall, coupled with Sheffield United’s defeat to Bristol City.

Their progress this season and steady climb up the league to consistently challenge for promotion since August has been impressive.

The club’s injury problems have been ridiculous this season, yet somehow, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have remained in the thick of the promotion hunt.

An article published by the Yorkshire Evening Post highlighted the extensive injury woes Leeds have faced this term.

They tallied up each injury and totalled up the number of games that have been missed during that time, excluding those out for the season.

Barry Douglas is the 31st separate injury the club have had this term, with news of medial ligament damage suffered in the win over Millwall this past weekend, and he will miss the rest of the season.

The YEP concluded that there has been a total of 165 matches missed when adding up each problem picked up.

It is a staggering list of problems that have plagued their season, but not effected it too much sitting second in the table with seven games to go.
